Looking for a way to take action on the climate crisis? You may have to look no further than your bank. According to Banking on Climate Chaos: Fossil Fuel Financing Report 2022, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Citibank are the four largest funders of climate-destroying fossil fuel projects and deforestation in the world. Whether or not you are an account-holder (including credit cards) in one of these banks, here is a great opportunity for you to help stop bankrolling climate destruction.
Take Third Act’s Banking on the Future Pledge and join in the National Day of Action on March 21, 2023 (aka 32123) to dis-credit the bad banks.
You are invited to join First Church and its members who have taken Third Act’s Banking on the Future Pledge in a March 21 protest to tell the dirty banks who finance fossil fuels that we are moving our money to climate-friendly banks. The Seattle rally, march, and demonstrations at Seattle branches of Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank, and Bank of America will take place on Capitol Hill from Noon until 2 pm. It will be one of numerous National Day of Action events involving thousands of people from here and around the country. You do not need to have taken the pledge to join us and show your support and help stop the bankrolling of climate destruction.
Please get in touch with Peter Jabin or Tom Carlson using the form below if you are interested in joining a First Church contingent for the protests.

If you are a customer of one of these banks, you can also join 38,000 other customers in pressuring banks to change through Stop the Money Pipeline’s Customers for Climate Justice Campaign.
