“There is a force of love moving through the universe that holds us fast and will never let us go.”– Julian of Norwich
Dear friends,
I need/want to be re-membered in Love/love today.
It is easy to forget Love/love when I fear with and for:
myself and with/for my daughters as Asian Americans refugees, undocumented immigrants, and asylum seekers queer siblings black lives humans and creatures marginalized by social, political, religious, economic, powers that be trans persons endangered creatures, fauna and flora, rivers and oceans, the air we breathe, lands that gives us life
With and for whom/what are you/we experiencing fear?
Let us pause.
Take a breath.
Breathe in – God is love.
Breathe out – Love casts out all fears.
Exhale.
Listen to the beating of your heart/presence of Love.
I invite you to take this time of pausing, intentional breathing, and prayer to feel re-membered in Love/love.
I feel inspired and trust that our prayer together is a form of conspiring with God. Love is the gift of God. Let us trust in Love/love – love of self, love of one another, love of God who loved us first. The love of Christ Jesus, in his life, death, and resurrection.
I’m praying toward our worship in the Presence of Love this Sunday (11.10). We have also set aside additional time after our worship service, downstairs in our conference room for anyone who would like to have some more time in sharing, listening, praying, lighting a candle, and being in Love/love. This will be a hybrid gathering, and a ZOOM link will be provided.
For such a time as this, I am grateful to serve as your pastor. Your witness of loving kindness and faithfulness towards racial, reproductive, LGBTQAI+, environmental, and immigration justice is what our world needs still, and now.
Let us be well, trusting that Love Abides.
Pastor Wongee
