First Church has been invited to participate in an United Methodist in Mission team with Central United Methodist Church (UMC) in Sedro Woolley on a service learning trip to their sister church, El Mesias UMC, in Nogales, AZ. This trip is being led by Rev. Dan Gerhard, a retired pastor who attends Central UMC.
Dates of the trip are 04/15/23 to 04/23/23. The volunteer mission team will worship and share meals with El Mesias UMC in Nogales, AZ, visit the border crossing and learn about the border ministries of El Mesias, help pave a parking lot for the Hispanic Nogales church, and cross the US-Mexico border to visit a Methodist church in Nogales, Mexico (Passport Required).
Approximate cost to participate is $850, with a deposit of $200. A partial scholarship is available. Please contact Jackie@firstchurchseattle.org for more information.
