Join us for a recital of sacred music with soprano, Dr. Shana Mashego, featuring music from the “Hymn Project,” a collaborative effort to preserve hymnody through the arranging and composing of hymns in various Classical styles. “Hymn Project” chief composer, arranger, and violinist Dr. Christopher T. F. Hanson will perform, along with local guest artists on piano and cello.

The SPU String Ensemble is honored to collaborate with soprano Dr. Shana Mashego for an evening of music composed for strings and voice. Join us as we explore the music of sacred hymnody and premiere several works arranged specifically for the evening.
