Pride at First Church

Pride at First Church

Join us for Pride Sunday!

Join us for Pride Sunday worship at 9:30am on June 28 (note the time change for this Sunday only!). This event is a chance to celebrate and affirm the LGBTQIA+ members of our community and to make a public statement about the care, love, and appreciation we have for each unique individual expressing their God-given identity.

This service will include a special address by Rev. Dr. Byron Harris of Vancouver Heights UMC.

Seattle Pride Parade

The Seattle Pride Parade is community-led, deeply rooted in activism, and unapologetically focused on LGBTQIA2S+ visibility. Every year, 300,000+ people gather in the streets, marching for joy, justice, and belonging.

We will be handing out cookies, snacks, water, and Holy Communion for the community who pass by the church, on their way from Parade to PrideFest at Seattle Center. Lunch will be provided for volunteers in Fellowship Hall, following service. Parking is free for worship attendees and volunteers at our parking garage at the corner of Denny Way and Warren Ave North.

Each year we serve cookies / snacks, drinks, and Communion for all at the end of the Pride Parade route (the corner of 2nd and Denny). The weather tends to be hot, and this is a great way to join in the celebration in a supportive way! Click the button below to check out our wishlist!
