Make a difference during the 2021 Washington State legislative session

Let your voice be heard in our state capital in support of legislation for clean energy, affordable housing, protection for immigrant families, and more.

During the Washington State legislative session now through April 25, bills will be introduced, sent to legislative committees for consideration, and voted up or down. Each week there will be opportunities for you to share your views about those bills with your elected state officials.

Check out the Faith Action Network (FAN) resources and opportunities below. (First Church is a member of FAN, a coalition of congregations of all faiths who advocate for justice, peace, and a sustainable Earth.)

February 11 – Interfaith Advocacy Day with Faith Action Network

The February 11 Interfaith Advocacy Day organized by FAN will be virtual, making it possible for more people to participate. Register here by February 5.

On February 11, FAN will offer virtual morning sessions about proposed bills and how to ask your state representatives to support specific bills of interest to you. Virtual afternoon appointments with legislators will be scheduled by FAN for those that register by February 5. Have no fear! You will not need to meet with your legislators alone. The appointments will include other FAN participants from your state legislative district.
