On Tuesday, September 1, worshipers from many traditions will gather to celebrate the Feast of Creation in Christ — an ecumenical service centered on the sacredness of creation, earth care, and climate justice. Drawing on new lectionary texts and diverse liturgical resources, the service brings together voices from across Christian traditions.
The gathering is hosted by the Faith & Ecology Roundtable of Seattle University’s Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement (CEIE), along with community partners. First Church is glad to help share the word and welcomes anyone who would like to be involved.
The service begins at 6:30 p.m. in person at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 111 NE 80th St, and will be streamed online for those outside the Seattle area. You can RSVP through Seattle University’s event page, or watch the livestream from home.
