A Message of Gratitude from Pastor Elizabeth

Pastoral Letters

Dear First Church,

It is hard to believe that six months have already flown by and this is my last contribution to the e-news! It has been a gift and a joy to be with you in this fruitful season, and I cannot thank you enough for your hospitality, generosity, and trust as we have journeyed together. I truly believe the best days for First Church are ahead of us, and I cannot wait to see how things blossom and unfold under Pastor DJ’s leadership. I am grateful that I will get to stick around as your superintendent!

This week, we are celebrating Pride in worship! Remember that worship begins at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday, June 28. If you show up at 10:30 a.m., we will all be sad that you missed it! Come early to welcome visitors. Our guest preacher, Rev. Byron Harris, brings joy and energy everywhere he goes, and I am excited to hear the word he will bring as we celebrate the beauty of the diversity God created and the belovedness of each person in our midst. It is going to be a glorious day—whether or not the sun is shining, there will be rainbows everywhere!

With gratitude,
Pastor Elizabeth
