I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I earned a BA in theater arts from San Diego State University and a Master of Divinity from the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University. I served three churches before retiring in 2016: Rainier Beach, Everett First, and Vashon. Along the way I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary. I was an adjunct professor at the School of Theology and Ministry at Seattle University, teaching Ministerial and Theological Integration in the Master’s program and Leading from Spiritual Depth in the doctoral program.
I served two churches as interim pastor in retirement: Kennydate and Bryn Mawr. I was on staff at Renton for several years before retiring for the last time. But here I am, delighted to be part of the ministry team at First Church!
My husband Steve and I have a blended family of 5 adult children, with five grandsons and one granddaughter. We make our home in Renton.
