Draw a Sun for the “Sun Day” Art Gallery!

September 21st is Sun Day, a day of action celebrating the arrival of the clean energy revolution.  Solar, wind, and batteries are now the cheapest form of energy on the planet.

Local events are being hosted around the world, and the Climate Justice Working Group is inviting all First Church members to draw a sun using the Sun Day digital drawing tool.  Member drawings will be included in a digital gallery–a looping slide show displayed in the narthex before and after the September 21 worship service.  Our Sun Day gallery will include information on progress made so far and what can be done to push for more.

Pledge your commitment to the solar revolution by drawing a sun. Visit the Sun Day website, learn, draw your own sun, and submit it to Communications Director, Gina del Rosario gina@firstchurchseattle.org by September 12.  It’s easy and fun!

Step-by-step instructions for drawing and submitting your own sun can be found here.

Sun Day organizers include Third Act, Sierra Club, Greenfaith, Mom’s Clean Air Force, Music Declares Emergency, Solar United Neighbors, and the United Church of Christ.
