Blessing of the Animals

Each year we hold a special Blessing of the Animals service to coincide with the annual celebration of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis was a 12th century Italian friar who is known as the patron saint of animals and of the environment. St. Francis is widely celebrated in both catholic and protestant churches. Our Blessing of the Animals service is always a big and festive occasion, and this year will be no different! Join us with your pet (on a leash or in a carrier)on Sunday, September 26 at 10:30AM, or send in a photo of you and your pet by 5pm on Tuesday September 21 and we’ll include it in the service!
