Caregiving is a major concern for many persons in our congregation, for many reasons. Aging parents, or siblings, friends or neighbors who are facing illness or disability all have special needs that invite extra sensitive and informed care. Knowing how to navigate offering such care is a major concern that is best addressed and answered not only by professionals, but also by others who have “been there.”
As a way of identifying sources of information as well as others who might offer guidance and encouragement, we’re offering a Dialogue on Caregiving at a Lunch and Learn on Sunday, April 30 at 12pm. We’ll circle up our tables and chairs and discuss our experiences, needs, and other concerns as we seek to develop best practices in helping those whom we love and care for to navigate the challenges of illness, age, disability, etc.
