Dismantling Racism Group Book Study

We have been called to the work of anti-racism as part of going the M.I.L.E. as outlined by Bishop Cedrick Bridgeforth, where the “E” stands for “Eliminating Racism.” We have an upcoming opportunity to commit to this work by participating in a 4-week group book study via zoom in September with other United Methodist Congregations in the Greater Northwest Region. The book study welcomes ALL to join. The book, “When God Became White, Dismantling Whiteness for a More Just Christianity” by Grace Ji-Sun Kim will be used for this joint study. The study has two sections:
(1) The first session will be the study with the author, Rev. Dr. Grace Ji-Sun Kim, on Tuesdays (9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24) at 10 am HST, 1 pm PDT, 2 pm MDT, 3 pm CST, 4 pm EST for 1 ½ hrs. via Zoom.

(2)The second session will be a small group session of your own choosing. When registered, please mark the small group(s) you want to join. Each small group leader will be in touch with you about the date/time of its small group sessions.
