Advocacy Day in Olympia

Advocacy Day in Olympia

Our Church and Society/Social Justice (CS/SJ) committee invites you to join them in advocating for Faith Action Network (FAN) bills during the 2024 Washington State legislative session. Every legislative session, FAN provides information about the bills FAN supports and offers opportunities to speak with state legislators on Interfaith Advocacy Day in Olympia, on Thursday, February 8.

Several members of CSSJ Committee will carpool to Olympia for Advocacy Day and members of the congregation are invited to join us. FAN offers a preview session of the legislative agenda so people can be familiar with the proposed legislation and FAN offers guidance on how to present to a legislator in the Advocacy 101 session. At Advocacy Day, a group of FAN members meets with a legislator together.

Below is the FAN calendar of events with links to register. Here is the link to the FAN 2024 legislative agenda: https://fanwa.org/advocacy/legislative-agenda/. From the web page you can download a 2-page PDF of the legislative summery.

If you have any questions or are thinking of joining CS/SC members in Olympia contact Sue Porter. 443-791-8870 or seporter29@gmail.com
