Pride + Faith is a group at First Church that serves the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, and queer community. Pride + Faith invites LGBTQ people and allies to grow in faith and serve the LGBTQ community in love, support, and action. Prior to moving our programming online in March this year in response to COVID-19, this group gathered for monthly potlucks (typically with a creative theme). Since moving online, Pride + Faith has continued to gather each month, and has added an ongoing trivia competition to their gatherings.

First Church is a proud member of the Reconciling Ministries Network. In addition to monthly First Church Pride + Faith gatherings, every summer on the last Sunday in June, First Church joins other open and affirming churches in the Seattle area to celebrate our Pride and Faith during Seattle’s annual Pride Parade!

Pride Sunday Celebration
Join us on Pride Sunday for a Combined Blessing + Worship Service. Each year we march in the Pride Parade and host a booth at PrideFest with other local United Methodist Congregations. First Church’s location at the end of the Pride Parade route makes it an ideal spot to share in the love and festivities of the Pride Parade. We offer live music and pass out cookies and drinks to people walking in the Pride Parade.
