*Responsive Call to Worship Peter Jabin

We come this morning from different places.
Different weeks. Different waters.

We come to the river.
Some of us are standing on the bank, not sure the water will hold. Some of us are already mid-current, not sure which way is shore.
God is in the current with us.

The ground is holy. The water is real.
So we step in. Together. Let us worship.

*Prayer of Dedication Pastor Jackie

God, we bring what we have. Not because it is enough. Because you are.

These gifts are stones we carry into the crossing — testimony that we believe something is on the other side, and that we are willing to go first.

Use what we offer here to tend the soul of this city, to make room at the river’s edge for the ones still finding their way in.

Amen.

Announcements

Pipe Organ 101 - Parts 2 and 3 | Saturday, July 25 - 11 am and 12:30 pm:

Join us on Saturday July 25th for the second and third parts of our summer class to learn about pipe organs. We will tour the Paul Fritts organ shop in Tacoma at 11:00 am to see how pipe organs are built. Then, at 12:30 pm, we’ll see a demonstration of the Fritts organ at Lagerquist Hall on the PLU campus by current University Organist Justin J. Murphy-Mancini.

Summer Needs for Sione’s Closet:

As the summer heat arrives, our neighbors visiting Sione’s Closet are in need of warm-weather essentials to stay comfortable. This season, we are especially looking for donations of T-shirts, sunglasses, and hats. We also continue to welcome shoes (especially men’s sizes), pants, backpacks, belts, and new underwear. Drop off items in the blue bin by the TV in the Narthex.
