September 9, 2012 | Lazarus | Rev. Sandy Brown

Take a deep look into the story of the raising of Lazarus and find a theme that has plagued the human race throughout history: the fear of death. It’s what pushes and pulls us to stray from what we know is right. It’s what compels us to reach for immortality and to attempt to use reason to deal with our mortality. Through the insight of scripture, however, we see that only through faith may we begin to come to terms with our fate.

Join us in week six, as we encounter Jesus through the story of Healing on the Sabbath.

August 26, 2012 | Healing on the Sabbath | Rev. Sandy Brown

“Do you want to be healed?…Stand up and take your mat.” These were Jesus’ instructions to the paralytic on the Sabbath. Pharisees were outraged – the Sabbath is a day of rest! To their outcries, Jesus responded, “My father is working, and I am working too.” Jesus did something new. The wind of the Spirit is vibrant & alive. Shall we hoist our sails, catch a new wind, and follow Jesus on this adventure of faith?

Join us in week four, as we encounter Jesus through the story of Healing on the Sabbath.

August 12, 2012 | Nicodemus | Rev. Sandy Brown

Join us in week two, as we encounter Jesus through the story of Nicodemus.
