First Dinner With the Blaine Center a Success

"Dear Friends. Thank you for making last night's dinner such a special event. It was inspiring for me to witness the warm and genuine welcome extended to the residents of the Blaine Center. The meeting of new neighbors seemed to energize everyone and was a source of real deep felt joy. I believe that the peace and security we all seek for our world grows out of experiences like that we shared last night."

—Rick Friedhoff, Executive Director, Compass Housing Alliance (our partners in ministry at the Blaine Center)

May 26 marked our first-ever All Church Dinner with members of the church and residents and staff of the Blaine Center, our 24-hour emergency men's shelter. The night was a success - around 100 attendees enjoyed a spaghetti dinner and folk music by The Cutters. The joint dinner will become a monthly event - stay tuned for details on the next dinner!

BELOW: About a hundred people attended the joint dinner.
