Home Services Meeting Needs

Urban Outreach at First Church:

Tending the Soul of the City

At First Church we have a long and proud history of serving Seattle's urban poor. For many years our outreach efforts have centered around serving the homeless in our community and aligning our efforts with the city's to end homelessness. By engaging ministries of direct service and advocacy we believe we are transformed as the body of Christ.

New Shelter Space

Our new 7,200 square foot Urban Outreach Center will be used to serve the homeless. First Church is currently talking to various service providers to find the program that's the best fit for both the space and the 600-member congregation, who will have hands-on involvement with the program.
