Membership 101

What is membership at First Church? It's choosing a spiritual path, taking the step of discipleship, making a commitment to a congregation, and seeking God's will for your life.

In this 3-hour class, participants learn about the history of our congregation and denomination and discuss what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Participants look at the three commitments of membership: commitment to Christ, commitment to Christian growth, and commitment to the First Church. And participants look at the three keys of effective membership: Celebrate, cell, and call.
